Teaching Style

Kate, who has taught for 16 years, calls herself: “An Eternal Student of Yoga.” She has studied many styles, and has had the opportunity to learn from many of the current Yoga Masters. Her teaching style is a blend of Kripalu, with Erich Schiffmann and Doug Keller being her biggest influences. Her Gentle Yoga classes could be called meditation in motion, where students mindfully flow with breath and movements. Her intention is to create a welcoming and friendly class, where each student is encouraged to honor their body’s wisdom and to work at their own level in a non-competitive environment.

How Yoga Serves Kate

Kate is grateful to have discovered Yoga when she was so young, and feels the payoff
now as she ages. She is vibrantly healthy in body, mind and spirit, and believes that Yoga is the Fountain of Youth. Through Yoga, she discovered Meditation that has given her a wonderful way to feel joy and contentment. Her passion is sharing her love of Yoga with the students, and feels it’s one of her ways to serve in the world.
