John’s first exposure to yoga was through a Bikram class. The physicality, heat, and mental focus produced a workout that resulted in weight loss, cleansing, and heightened alertness. He received his 500 hour certification through the Bikram Yoga Teacher Training with Bikram Choudhury in Los Angeles, CA. In order to increase his knowledge of the branches of yoga, and have a well-rounded practice, John studied at Swami Satchidananda’s Ashram in Virginia where he cultivated a daily meditation practice. He received his 200-hour certification in Asanas and Pranayama. Most recently, John attended a secondary teacher training with Evolation Yoga in Santa Barbara, CA. and became a member of the worldwide evolation collective.
Pulling from different lineages, John integrates strength, compassion, and a dose of humor into every class he teaches. He is passionate about creating a welcoming atmosphere for new students, so they can experience the benefits and walk out the door with the desire to come back again.

Throughout John’s life, physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle have always been a priority, but when yoga came into the picture John realized immediately it would change the course of his life. The benefits he experienced were transformative and led him to a path of physical, mental, and spiritual balance he had never known possible.
